Obama Mandates Photo Id - For Election Night Party
Sometimes irony is subtle, other times it slaps you in the face. This is an example of the latter. Despite Democrats consistent whining that photo id requirements for voting would disenfranchise poor and minority voters, the Obama campaign has decided photo id would be necessary to attend his election night party. Via Ace:

Now in all fairness, I perfectly understand why the Obama campaign would require photo id at his election night party, and in all likelihood this was recommended by the secret service. After all, those who purchase tickets to attend the party, would most likely go through at least a minimal background check before being allowed in the same room as potentially America’s next President. For security purposes, the secret service would like to be certain that the person who actually attends the event, is the same person they had run a background check on, otherwise what would be the point running background checks in the first place?
Exit question: If photo id is a requirement to ensure a Presidential candidates protection, why can’t it be required to ensure the integrity of the voting process which would elect him?
