If Obama Loses, The Country Wasn’t Ready

Although she doesn’t elaborate much as to what her statement actually means, it is easy to guess what Donna Brazile was referring to when she recently said “If he doesn’t [win the election], then Obama didn’t lose,” she said. “The country just wasn’t ready.” Donna Brazile who was Al Gore’s campaign manager in 2000, did offer a little insight into her thought process behind this statement though:

“Democrats are notorious for whining when things go bad,” she said. “A presidential campaign is not for the fainthearted.”

An Obama loss would certainly lead to four years of incessant whining from Democrats, and charges of racism would be at the top of their list of things to cry about. Jack Cafferty has already started to walk down that path, claiming the only reason the polls are so close is because of racism. That is the only explanation as far as Cafferty is concerned, and somehow I doubt Brazile would disagree with him, except for this other little nugget of information she let slip out in the same interview:

“People still have lingering doubts about Obama as to whether he can be trusted as commander in chief,” Brazile said. “I thought his campaign would have more meat on the bones by now. They did great job at the convention, but it was short-lived.”

While fully acknowledging Obama’s meatless campaign coupled with peoples lingering doubts about the first term Senator, Brazile can’t help but wonder aloud if skin color will be Obama’s downfall. As I stated last month however, any charges of racism by Democrats, could only be directed at Democrats:

This was to be the year of the Democrat, as most political analysts agrees Republicans will lose 10 or more seats in the House and 2 to 4 seats in the Senate. This is to be expected as the number of Americans who identify themselves as Democrats was 14 percentage points higher than the number who said they were Republicans in a recent survey.

Currently Obama only has the support of 78% of registered Democrats, down from 81% earlier this month. With almost 1 out 4 Democrats not supporting the parties candidate, and liberals proclaiming that not supporting Obama amounts to being racist, the question remains, do Democrats believe that almost one quarter of their own party is made up of racists?

I expect race to become more of an issue as the election nears, with Democrats attempting to cash in on white guilt.

  1. Now that the Palin excitement has died down (who knew a moose killer could light the loins of so many on fire…) and the economy has taken center stage yet again… and yes, now that it has been established, quite–perhaps even too–thoroughly that pigs with lipstick are still pigs and that the fundamentals are still sound… Charlie, you won’t have to fret about what might happen if Obama loses. McCain has all but ceded the election by dint of his actions the past week–a streak of recklessness that started with the Palin pick. And now, he sounds like one of them evil populists, essentially hijacking Obama’s ‘change’ message and perverting it beyond recognition. He’s lost. This is over, Charlie. Don’t worry about what Donna Brazile says–and don’t you dare try to somehow link that to all of black America, all of the Left, all of the Democratic party, all of the media, etc, etc–in brief, to anyone other than Donna Brazile–as you and your party often tend to do.

Again, don’t worry about it Charlie. This election is in the bag. Government that makes sense : coming January 20.

  2. P, What color is the sky in your world, because you certainly don’t exist in the same reality the rest of us do. Only someone completely delusional would believe that this election is over and Obama has it locked up. In almost every State poll McCain has either narrowed the gap or taken the lead. In New York, Obama is only up by 5, this is a State Kerry won by 18. New Jersey is within the margin of error. These are two Democratic strongholds, and Obama is having difficulties mantaining the lead. Novemeber is going to be a wake up call for you my freind.

  3. Keep thinking that, Charlie. I honestly can’t wait until the morning of the fifth–just to see how you react.

  4. And by the way, have you seen the bizarre Spain comment your homedawg J-Mac made? If the race is as close as you claim it is–a notion I fervently dispute–McCain will himself make sure it not be. And the trial on troopergate et al before the election certainly won’t help. Nor will those strong fundamentals. Indeed, yesterday, after McCain gave a speech at a GM assembly line on his plans to fix the economy (my friends, tax cuts, my friends, change, my friends, tax cuts, change, my friends, tax cuts, my friends, and A COMMISSION!!!!!–Oh, and some more change, my friends) the audience erupted in an Obama ‘08 chant, which they sustained until McCain left the premises. He looked frightened. Maybe, Charlie, he should’ve picked Mittens. Your people like Mittens, right? He has some economic gravitas… I guess.

Anyway, I will assure you that my skies are the ones that are not blue, but azure. Whatever color yours may be… well, you decide, right?

    Adieu, Charlie

  5. Keep up that stance, P. Seriously. Because the last time I both witnessed and participated in an election where one party was completely assured of victory–counting their chickens before they hatched–they lost.

  6. IF OBAMA LOOSES, WE WILL HAVE “DODGED THE BULLED”

(unfortunately, we had better be prepared, because there will be another!)
    _____________________________________________
We have recently seen a tape that “exposes” Obama’s socialist ideology. But, there is another tape, from the same show I think, where he is far more explicit, and here’s a site that has both tapes…

    BRIANAKIRA POINTS OUT THAT…

    Obama [said, and truly believes]:

    * The Supreme Court has failed to “break free from the essential constraints that were placed by the founding fathers in the constitution”
    * The Warren court was insufficiently radical
    * The courts have failed to enforce redistributive change
    * The legislature is the more effective forum for bringing about economic justice and the redistribution of wealth.
    * The American Constitution is outdated and flawed
    * The courts have failed to enforce politically correct thought processes and economic equalization on the populace, and that therefore the government must do so through legislation.

If that doesn’t bother you, then you are a Communist.

My analysis of the second and IMO the most important tape…

In THIS TAPE Obama also said that the US Constitution was “DEEPLY FLAWED” because the Founding Fathers were “BLIND” and that in order to be able to achieve the “ECONOMIC JUSTICE” [a perenial Communist catch-phrase] he mentions in the other tape, then the “DEEP FLAWS” [which is what he meant when he once said that America was “BROKEN”] would have to be “FIXED.”

UPDATE FROM POWERLINE THAT IS A MUST READ!

Compared to Obama, Jimmy Carter will look like Ronald Reagan.

(I’m posting this in as many different places and as often as they vote)

  7. I guess the majority of Americans are communist, as they have overwhelmingly supported Barack Hussein Obama. What country should I move to since I’m not communist?

  8. No, John Dole, the majority of Americans are fools. If the MSM told the the truth about Obama, they wouldn’t have voted for him. The massive vote fraud and campaigning on the part of ACORN, not to mention Obama’s blatant (but ignored) campaign finance fraud.

No, not Communists, just willfully ignorant fools.

What country to move to? I don’t know. It seems most countries are as crazy now. Australia seems relatively sane, but then so did the USA 4 years ago. Good luck.
