Oil executives are finally speaking the truth to a Congress which seem intent on ignoring it. As oil prices continue to soar, the United States Congress grilled oil executives demanding they do something about the high prices. Oil executives in turn demand Congress to allow them to bring prices down by adding to the supply using well known reserves here in the United States. Congresswoman Maxine Waters, apparantly unhappy with that response threatened to socialize.. errrr ummmm… nationalize the oil industry.

For all of the denials from Democrats that they are not socialists, the word seems to flow off of Maxine Waters lips pretty easily. It is not a coincidence that “socialized” was the first word Waters thought of as she was probably envisioning Hugo Chavez’s dictatorship in Venezuela, and dreaming of instituting a similar form of government here.
