Barack Obama hasn’t even secured his party’s nomination, yet his campaign manager is already attempting to play the race card against McCain. David Plouffe, Barack Obama’s campaign manager said in an interview on Friday:

“[T]he vast, vast majority of voters who would not vote for Barack Obama in November based on race are probably firmly in John McCain’s camp already,”

All McCain supporters out there should be happy to hear that their candidate has already locked up the racist white vote, presumably that would be all whites who vote against Obama. Of course the flip side of the argument would be much easier to argue by stating that all racist black voters are firmly in the Obama camp. Barack Obama has consistently received 90% of the black vote in primaries thus far, implying that blacks are a much more racist voting block than whites are, or at least according to the logic of those who think like David Plouffe.

Of course it could also be true that Barack Obama’s message resonates better with African Americans that Hillary’s does and that is why they vote for him. David Plouffe however must realize that Obama’s successes so far were due primarily to the color of his skin, therefore his eminent failure in the general election must be because of the same reason.
