ACLU Teaming Up With Mexicans Against America

I suppose it was only a matter of time before the ACLU stepped across that line they have been balancing on for the last few years. The “American” Civil Liberties Union has been operating under the cloak of a patriotic organization, championing themselves as the defenders of the Constitution. As myself and others have continually pointed out, the ACLU goes through great pains to undermine American sovereignty by defending the rights of suspected terrorists held abroad, and illegal aliens here in America.

Earlier this week the ACLU decided to step out from the shadows and bluntly announce to the world where their allegiance truly lies.

In a historic agreement to pursue joint strategies to protect the human rights of migrants moving across the Mexico-United States border, the ACLU of San Diego & Imperial Counties and the Comisión Nacional de Derechos Humanos today signed a document declaring common goals and principles to address the serious human rights issues.

The Memorandum of Agreement between the two organizations charges the parties jointly to explore legal actions to challenge Operation Gatekeeper and other programs that have contributed to migrant deaths, and to educate a transnational audience about the issue of human rights tragedies at the border. More than $30 billion dollars have been spent on Gatekeeper since its inception, but the program has done little to prevent illegal entries—it has simply shifted them to the mountains and deserts east of San Diego, where migrants face much harsher conditions in remote, environmentally hostile areas.

The agreement calls for the organizations to host an invitation-only conference of experts in June to focus on bi-national advocacy strategies for attacking inhumane policies affecting migrants, especially deaths from border crossings; to meet again following the U.S. elections in November to update its plans; to cooperate on other lawsuits, advocacy efforts, and educational campaigns on a case-by-case basis; and to seek funding for these efforts in their respective countries. The ACLU of San Diego is not receiving funding from any Mexican source for its work.

The ACLU is teaming up with the Mexican Human Rights Commission for the sole purpose of initiating lawsuits against the American government for the deaths of those who choose to cross the border illegally. Please read that again! The American Civil Liberties Union wishes to hold the United States accountable for the actions of individuals who knowingly attempt to break the law.

It is the ACLU’s position that entry into the United States is a human right, and by enforcing our borders we are somehow violating the civil rights of migrant workers, as they like to call them. The truth is, the ACLU is attempting to use the courts to violate the United States most basic right and that is to operate as a sovereign nation.

Please forgive me for not shedding a tear for those who attempt to violate our laws and encounter hardships in the process.

Hat Tip Michelle Malkin who feels the ACLU should drop the “A”.

Update: More from LoneWacko:

The San Diego chapter of the American Civil Liberties Union (ACLU) is now working with directly with Mexico’s Human Rights Commission, a quasi-governmental group that’s independent from but funded by the Mexican government. The ACLU is a very strong supporter of illegal immigration but in the past the only known link between them and the Mexican government was indirect. Any future news report on the ACLU’s efforts regarding immigration should mention their new direct link, and if it doesn’t please contact the news source’s editor. They should also be asked about this at public meetings or whereever else they discuss these issues
