Fred Thompson Surges In South Carolina

Fred Thompson has jumped to a virtual tie for second place in South Carolina according to the most recent Rasmussen Poll

Over the past several days, the only real movement in South Carolina’s Republican Presidential Primary has been a four-point gain for Fred Thompson and a five-point decline for Mike Huckabee

The latest Rasmussen Reports telephone survey shows McCain at 28%, Huckabee at 19%, Mitt Romney at 17%, and Fred Thompson at 16%. Rudy Giuliani and Ron Paul are tied with 5% support.

Once you factor in the margin for error, the 3% seperating Thompson from second place Huckabee is non existant. Thompson campaign has made a drastic turn around in the last month, and has already raised over $1 million dollars in the month of January. He is proving to those who supported him early on that they made the right choice, and come Saturday when he finishes second (possibly first?) in South Carolina, he will prove to the other candidates he is a force to be reckoned with.

The fight isn’t over though, in fact it has only just begun. Fred still needs your help with Super Tuesday only a few short weeks away.
