Liberal Nut Roots For Global Warming to Wipe Out Conservatives
The Baltimore Chronicle has announced this week they can no longer find qualified writers for their commentary section, therefore they will be printing any piece of gibberish forwarded to the editors desk. Of course this announcement was not made public, however an internal memo to editors must have clearly been disseminated. How else can one explain the recent piece by Dave Lindorff titled “Global Warming Will Save America from the Right…Eventually” The author starts his commentary by saying
“Say what you will about the looming catastrophe facing the world as the pace of global heating and polar melting accelerates. There is a silver lining.”
He then goes on to describe the silver lining, and that is the Red States which will find themselves underwater due to Global Warming.
“So what we see is that huge swaths of conservative America are set to face a biblical deluge in a few more presidential cycles.”
There is a poetic justice to this of course. It is conservatives who are giving us the candidates who steadfastly refuse to have the nation take steps that could slow the pace of climate change, so it is appropriate that they should bear the brunt of its impact.
The important thing is that we, on the higher ground both actually and figuratively, need to remember that, when they begin their historic migration from their doomed regions, we not give them the keys to the city. They certainly should be offered assistance in their time of need, but we need to keep a firm grip on our political systems, making sure that these guilty throngs who allowed the world to go to hell are gerrymandered into political impotence in their new homes.
It should be considered acceptable, in this stifling new world, to say, “Shut up. We told you this would happen.”
Unfortunately for the nuts out there who are expecting a “biblical deluge” as this author calls it, any flooding which would occur from Global Warming would be much slower, happening over the course of several years, or even several decades. The “deluge” that might be seen after that would be one of Conservatives migrating to predominantly liberal areas which would then dilute the liberal vote in those States.
With regards to the authors statement of “political impotence” with regards to Conservatives in their new homes, I surely hope he is not referring to suppressing the Conservative vote. Need I remind you, Conservatives are the ones with the guns!
