Massachusetts to Consider Spanking Ban

Thirty years after after liberals invented the right to abortion using the 14th Amendment, they now intend to turn their backs on the ‘right to privacy’ provision by preventing parents from disciplining their own children. In Massachusetts, lawmakers are actually considering a ban on spanking children:

Lawmakers on Beacon Hill are set to consider a proposed ban on spanking children in the commonwealth.

NewsCenter 5’s Shiba Russell reported that the issue is set for debate at a Statehouse hearing Wednesday morning.

The Boston Herald reported that State Rep. Jay Kaufman filed the spanking ban petition at the request of an Arlington, Mass., nurse who wants Massachusetts to become the first state in the country to stop corporal punishment.

If this proposal does become law and parents are caught hitting their children who are under the age of 18, they could be charged with abuse or neglect.

While those on the left will tell you it is not the governments place to tell women they cannot kill an unborn child, in the same breath they will affirm the governments right to tell you how to raise any child you decided not to kill. I can tell you from personal experience, spankings as a form of discipline work, and work well. When I was a child it was never the punishments my mother doled out which scared me, it was the heavy hand of my father which kept me in line.

I wonder if the ACLU will speak about this blatant government invasion of privacy?
