How can anyone possibly argue Global Warming is causing the arctic ice to melt, while at this very moment hell is freezing over! I just read an opinion piece at the Huffington Post which actually praised President Bush. Right from the opening paragraph I was bracing myself for the punchline, the moment when the article turned from factual to satirical, but that moment never came. The title “While Bush Fights for America, The Democrats Fight Bush” expresses what conservatives have known for quite some time, and the opening paragraph displays a sentiment more likely to be found on MichelleMalkin.com, not the Huffington Post:

The Democrats’ personal hatred towards President Bush - in light of the objective successes of his presidency - make clear the sad fact that they would rather see America fail if that failure made the president look bad.

I congratulate Seth Swirsky for abandoning the Democratic party, and hope his article will help open the eyes of other Democrats. In the meantime it will be fun to see what types of comments are left by the anti-Bush crowd that visits there regularly, that is, if the column is not removed altogether.
