The nations largest sanctuary city has just approved a measure that will not only attract new border jumpers, but will actually legitimize them. The Board of Supervisors approved almost unanimously the issuance of municipal ID cards to city residents, regardless of wether or not they are here legally.

The legislation would require companies holding city contracts to accept the municipal card as a legitimate form of identification - except in cases where other state and federal laws require other forms of proof of age, name and residence.

Once again we have a reminder of the failures of the federal government with respects to immigration. Had Congress passed true immigration reform, rather then trying to push through their shamnesty bill, this would be a non event. Instead they chose to pander to the Latino vote, the bill died a miserable and deserving death, and now we have a major city mandating contractors hire illegal’s.
