Teacher Offers Extra Credit For Flag Burning

Last week I wrote about the University of Delaware and their multiculturist ‘treatment’ which classified all whites as racists. The University has quickly abandoned this program after Conservative bloggers picked up on the story, exposing it to the rest of the country. Unfortunately what was occurring at the University of Delaware was not an isolated incident, as students nationwide are constantly having the liberal agenda shoved down their throats by professors. Most recently, at the University of Maine, a professor offered students extra credit if they burned the American flag or the U.S. Constitution or were arrested defending free speech.

A University of Maine student alleges her former professor offered extra credit to class members if they burned the American flag or the U.S. Constitution or were arrested defending free speech.

On the first day of class, associate professor Paul Grosswiler offered the credit to members of his History of Mass Communications class, according to sophomore Rebekah McDade. Disturbed by the comment, McDade dropped the class and intends to take the course again next semester with a different professor.

“I was offended,” McDade said Friday. “I come from a family of military men and women, and the flag and Constitution are really important symbols to me because of my family background

The professor explains that he did not ‘intend’ for students to burn the American flag, and he was only attempting to elicit thought about the First Amendment. Obviously there are better ways to “elicit thought”, than by encouraging actions. If the professor merely wanted to have an open conversation about the First Amendment he could have easily told students of cases where people had been arrested for flag burning, or during protests and how the courts had ruled on the issue.

Regardless of what the professor, or the school will say on this matter, students take the prospect of receiving extra credit very seriously.

  1. The appropriate response to this arrogant crackhead would be a political protest outside of his rathole office. Instead of burning a flag, get a copy of the Humanist Manifesto and use it to wipe baby’s dirty rear end.
